Nurilla Avazov received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Telecommunications from Tashkent University of Information Technology (TUIT), Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2005 and 2007, respectively. He received his PhD in Information and Communication Technology from the University of Agder, Grimstad, Norway in 2015. His PhD dissertation was entitled “Geometry-Based Channel Models for Car-to-Car Communication Systems and Applications”. From 2016 to 2017 he served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the UWB Wireless Communications Research Center, Inha University, Incheon, South Korea. From February 2020, he has been conducting research for the CareWell project at the University of Agder. His research interest includes wireless communications, stochastic and deterministic channel modelling, machine learning, time series data analysis, and applications of machine learning in wireless communications and services. He has published six journal papers and twelve conference papers in top-ranked journals and conferences. He serves as a reviewer for top-renowned IEEE journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, IEEE Journal of Selected Area in Communications, IEEE Access, etc.  He also serves as an Associate Editor of International Journal of Computers and Applications, Taylor & Francis.
